“It’s About Falling in Love” is an original musical production written by Shannon Murphy with the assistance of composer James Glasgow. These songs tell the story of two high school students, Jasmine and Josh, who are destined for love.

Jasmine and Josh start our story minding their own business (Love Will Come My Way), but soon get into an argument due to old feelings about their respective siblings’ recent breakup (Science Class Conversation). The argument leads to them being placed together in science class, where they learn to get along. In fact, they soon find themselves falling for each other (Safety Goggles Love Song). However, the plot thickens as another student, Connor, gets involved. He asks Jasmine out, but she tells him she only likes him as a friend. Jasmine stays with Josh, and Connor hatches an evil plan (Connor is a Jerk).

Josh’s friend Evan finds out about rumors that have been going around school that Josh is a bad guy. Evan calls Jasmine’s friend Fin to get the details (Missing Some Drama). The next day in school, Jasmine breaks up with Josh over the rumors and Josh is left sad and confused (I Don’t Understand). Josh finds out that Connor started the rumors and confronts him, discovering that the rumors came from something that happened a long time ago (New Me). After Josh and Connor make up, Jasmine and Josh are happily reunited (The Most Perfect Thing). The story ends on a good note, with Jasmine and Josh back together.
